For Windows machines only. May not work on all computers.
You can check it using the methods below, or change it manually.

Change the settings on your Dial-Up Networking connection:

Windows 95, 98:

  1. Open My Computer
  2. Open the Dial-Up Networking folder
  3. Right-click on your Graphtronics connection icon
  4. Left-click on Properties
  5. Click on the Server Types tab
  6. Type of dial-up server should be PPP (followed by Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, Internet, etc.)
  7. All boxes under Advanced Options should be UNCHECKED (i.e., Log on to Network, Enable Software Compression)
  8. Under Allowed Network Protocols, the only box checked should be next to TCP/IP
  9. Click on TCP/IP Settings
  10. Select "Server assigned IP address" at the top
  11. Select "Server assigned name server addresses" in the middle
    (This should reset your DNS servers to 0.0.0.0)
  12. The two boxes at the bottom of the page should be checked
  13. Click OK
  14. Close the Dial-Up Networking window


Windows ME, 2000:

  1. Open My Computer
  2. Open the Dial-Up Networking folder
  3. Right-click on your Graphtronics connection icon
  4. Left-click on Properties
  5. Click on the Networking tab
  6. Type of dial-up server should be PPP (followed by Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, Internet, etc.)
  7. All boxes under Advanced Options should be UNCHECKED (i.e., Enable Software Compression)
  8. Under Allowed Network Protocols, the only box checked should be next to TCP/IP
  9. Click on TCP/IP Settings
  10. Select "Server assigned"Select "Server assigned name server addresses" in the middle
    (This should reset your DNS servers to 0.0.0.0) for both IP addresses and DNS or Name Server addresses
  11. The two boxes at the bottom of the page should be checked
  12. Click OK
  13. Close the Dial-Up Networking window


Windows XP:

  1. Click on your Start button
  2. Click on Control Panel
    1. If you see "Pick a Category", click on "Network and Internet Connections"
      1. Click on "Network Connections"
    2. If you see icons (in Classic View), click on "Network Connections"
  3. On the right-hand side of the page, you should see "Dial-Up"
  4. Under "Dial-Up", you should see your connection for Graphtronics
  5. Right-click on your Graphtronics connection icon
  6. Left-click on Properties
  7. Click on the Networking tab
  8. Type of dial-up server should be PPP (followed by Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, Internet, etc.)
  9. Under "This connection uses the following items", there should be a check mark next to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
  10. Click on the word TCP/IP, to highlight it in blue (do not uncheck it)
  11. Click on the Properties button
  12. Select "Obtain automatically" for both IP addresses and DNS server addresses
  13. Click OK
  14. Click OK
  15. Close the Network Connections window



Macintosh:

OS 8 - 9: Under the Apple Menu, select Control Panels. Open TCP/IP. Delete the name server addresses. Close the TCP/IP Box.

OS X: From the Dock, click the System Preferences icon. In the next panel, click Network. OR, from the Apple menu, select Locations and then Network Preferences.

In the Network panel, under the TCP/IP tab, you can either delete any Domain Name Servers addresses (may not work with all OS), or replace them with the following: Primary 70.61.40.229, Secondary 70.61.40.228.

Note: These should work for Mac users... if you find a problem, or a better solution, please let us know.
